Events

The Newark Network of School Gardens is a collaborative of educators, parents, administrators and others interested in opening the world of the garden to young people. This series of professional development workshops will help you start and develop a school or youth garden.

NUTS & BOLTS—SEEDS & SEEDLINGS
Focus on the mechanics of growing (mostly) edible plants within the school garden context. Even if you are an experienced home gardener, this workshop will help you plan and grow a productive, organic, bountiful garden during the school year. The workshop includes hands-on seed starting.

Get outside and enjoy some nature at our Outdoor Learning Center or Urban Farm! Volunteers are a vital part of Greater Newark Conservancy’s mission and operations. You can volunteer as an individual or as a group.
