Our New Board Members

January is for new beginnings, and we’re happy to welcome these three outstanding community members to our Board of Trustees. We're energized to watch them propel the Conservancy to new heights!
Suzy Dyer
Suzy joined the Board of Greater Newark Conservancy in June 2019. She has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney and most recently worked at Planned Parenthood as Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer. Suzy has extensive volunteer & board experience which she will bring with her as part of the Conservancy's Development Committee. Suzy also serves on the Governance Committee and as co-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
Eugene Fredua-Agyeman
Eugene Fredua-Agyeman joined the Board of Greater Newark Conservancy in 2020. He works at Prudential Financial as Vice President, Planning and Analysis of Investments. Eugene has a strong connection to Newark and the surrounding area. He has lived in Newark, NJ for the past thirteen years giving him an appreciation for the impact the Conservancy can have on the community. He grew up in neighboring Jersey City, NJ later graduating from Essex County College before moving on to Montclair State University to earn his BS and MBA with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. Eugene is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in NJ.
Suzanne Nutt
Suzanne has had a lifelong professional commitment to creating innovative ways to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and communities. She founded Suzanne Nutt Landscapes to create beautiful gardens and landscapes that would engender delight, human health and well-being, and enhance environmental sustainability. Previously, she was responsible for developing new health care delivery systems and companies that would enhance access to affordable, high-quality health care for The Mount Sinai Heath System, The Prudential Insurance Company, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Bellevue Hospital/NYU School of Medicine. She was a founding board member of Healthfirst, the largest non-for-profit Medicaid managed care plan in New York State, and Senior Health Partners, a specialty Medicare managed care plan that provides medical and social support to enable frail seniors to remain in their homes.
Suzanne received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Wesleyan University and a Master’s Design in Public Health from Yale University. She received a Certificate in Landscape Design from The New York Botanic Garden. Suzanne lives in Maplewood, NJ with her husband, Stephen.
