Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a farm? Have you always wanted a large garden but don’t have the space? Or would you like a day out of the office to spend time in the sunshine?
Greater Newark Conservancy relies on the assistance of good-hearted volunteers who take time out of their busy lives to help us at our farms and gardens. So whether you just want to get out in the fresh air and help, or you want a fun and meaningful team building activity for you and your co-workers, we can use your help!
A typical volunteer day could include: planting, weeding, mulching, building raised beds, compost work, and more. Don’t have a green thumb? No worries! No experience necessary—our professional staff will show you the ropes!
Volunteer opportunities are available at our Urban Environmental Center, Court Street Farm, and Hawthorne Avenue Farm, where we offer monthly Open Volunteer Days starting in April.
If you’d like more information about volunteering, or to arrange a group project please email Michele at firstname.lastname@example.org
See you on the farm!
